i read this episode in a graphic novel and i don’t remember any of this .

i loved when holmes pretended to be a vampire and made watson jump
i especially loved when watson asked holmes have you ever put them to use
even the scene with the kid and the old man was funny
the humor in theses scenes are so well timed it goes well with each scene

It was a real shock to me when I saw Jeremy by the fireplace at the beginning. He’s so altered from when I saw him last in The Second Stain. It breaks my heart to see his health so bad. Still, I do love to watch him go about as Holmes, even when he’s so unwell.
They certainly took some liberties with this story, but Jeremy Brett could read the phone book and I’d find it riveting.
